At the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Zinzi writer Phyllis MacBryde (left) meets with Darryl Jovan Williams and CJay Hardy Philip after a performance of Jesus Christ Superstar Gospel. The Atlanta journal Constiution gave this innovative production a rave review and singled out Darryl. “As Judas, Darryl Jovan Williams (who also arranged the gospel vocals) is smarmy and street-smart, with a vocal range that alternates between edgy and angelic.” Both gifted actors have lent their considerable talents to the development of Zinzi.
